The rosebud and me

I’m somehow a bit busy right now. There will be 8 papers left for the final exam. But I think I should put in a new post here since it was empty without anything for weeks. I’ve searched for a book of mine and rewrite here something which I really like.

This isn’t mine actually. I found it somewhere few years ago and copied it into my book. The words are so meaningful and penetrate deeply inside my heart. Thank you so much to the poet for such a beautiful reminder.

It is only a tiny rosebud

A flower of Allah’s design

But I cannot unfold the petal

With this clumsy hands of mine

The secret of unfolding flowers

Is not known as such as I

Allah opens this flower so sweetly

Then in my hands they die

If I cannot unfold the rosebud

This flower of Allah’s design

Then how can I have the wisdom

To unfold this life of mine

So I trust in Allah for leading

Each moment of my day

I will look to Allah for His guidance

Each step of the way

The pathway that lies before me

Only Allah knows

I’ll trust Him to unfold the moments

Just as He unfold the roses

* I am not me in these few days.
